Rare Amulet Unearthed at Tumba Madzari - 18.06.2008.

(Utrinski vesnik, 18.06.2008) – A rare finding, a 7.5 cm long amulet most likely made of bone, horn of a young deer, has been unearthed at the Tumba Madzari archaeological site.
“The amulet is the highest rank artistic creation of an unknown Neolithic master. According to persona perception, it has different distinguishable animal forms. It was discovered on the level and space we call craft complex. The systems of connected square and round-form facilities, furnaces and fireplaces discovered last and this years are a part of a craftsmen’s complex of the settlement that was chronologically related to the second cultural horizon (5800-5200 B.C.),” archaeologist Elena Stojanova-Kanzurova says.
